CPD is legal to travel with both in the US and CR provided it contains next to no THC, .3% to be exact. My recommendation is to get some in the US you can be sure of. Also, if you're used to using THC/CBD blends to help you sleep, you might find it initially won't work well. I went through that. I used a 5:1 blend.
To give you a rough idea of cost, a 40-foot full container shipped from San Jose Port to New York, USA, costs a minimum of US$2,000. It’s difficult to give specific rates, as companies charge differently and the value of your goods impacts prices.
The average rent per month for a one-bedroom apartment outside of a city is $332. The average price per square foot of an apartment for sale in a Costa Rican city is $167.50, and the average price per square foot of an apartment for sale outside of a city is $124. Peanut butter is a good idea. I would bring some granola bars and or power bars from home. Maybe some cereal. (Although there are plenty of cereals available in CR) I would also bring a soft sided cooler or cooler bag. If you are checking luggage pack some of the refreezable coolies.
Anybody "importing" alcohol, which includes bringing it back in your luggage for personal use or as a gift, must be at least 21 years of age. As a general rule, you can bring up to 1 liter (0.26 gallons) duty-free, although travelers coming from certain destinations, including Caribbean countries, are usually entitled to more.
Hi just got back from Costa Rica yesterday. I chickened out at the last minute and didn’t bring my Vape pen. I did bring THC capsules and mixed them in with all my vitamins, supplements, and Tylenol. And the capsules are marked but I wasn’t too worried about it. Didn’t have a problem at all. Thanks in advance. I spent two weeks in Costa Rica last year and stayed in Airbnb's the entire time, so nothing was really paid for. I just use the ATMs. I think I might have brought $100 of cash. I feel safer with 50 to $100 at a time then having one big sum of cash to use the whole time.
The cheapest option would probably be buying alcohol at duty-free shops at the airport, so if it’s convenient for you, go for it! Drinking in bars in Costa Rica can be quite expensive. Local beer is typically 1,200 CRC (2 USD). Sometimes you can find it for around 900 CRC (1.60 USD), but that’s very rare and usually during a happy hour.
This tax is paid to INS (Costa Rica’s National Insurance Agency). The RTV technical inspection costs about $22, and tests for emissions, brakes, shocks, lights, tires, seat belts, and all electrical components. The vehicle tax is calculated as a small percentage of the vehicle’s market value and usually runs between $100 and $1,000 annually.

I agree with duty free but even if you run out, grocery stores like a MaxiPali outside the tourist areas will be MUCH less expensive than in Alberta. Report inappropriate content. Typically, traveling to Costa Rica with your pet will cost between $200 – $400. #2. Can I bring a dog from Costa Rica to the USA? Yes, you can bring your dog from Costa Rica back to the USA. Dog: “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.” The process for dogs and cats leaving Costa Rica is similar to bringing an animal into the country.
Answer 1 of 5: I am going to CR this weekend and I will have a lot of extra space in my luggage on my return flight. Is there a limit to how much coffee I can bring back in my checked bags? Is the DEA going to check my bags if I come back with 40 pounds of

The good news is there are no restrictions on bringing back roasted coffee beans from Costa Rica to the United States. You can bring back as much roasted coffee as you like for personal use. For green (unroasted) coffee beans, the regulations are a bit different. Green coffee beans are more strictly controlled to prevent the spread of coffee Do not bring back more than the maximum quantity of alcohol allowed. (See the question below for the quantity limits.) You can’t import alcohol more than once in a 30-day period. The person doing the importing must accompany the alcoholic beverages. But not sure this would have helped, under the circumstances. Sounds like a "bad apple" in the Customs organization who really didn't know what he was doing. (Or maybe he did.) Through hands-on coffee plantation tours, you can learn how Costa Rica's climate and environment are ideal for coffee production—and taste the country's award-winning java. Whether using San José as a hub or visiting Monteverde or Arenal/La Fortuna, you can tour coffee farms, production facilities, and even an ecolodge offering coffee, chocolate, and sugar cane tours, plus add wildlife
12 years ago. Save. We always stock up on coffee to bring home from our trips to CR. Usually will bring back a year's supply, 15-20 kilos, and a couple of 2 kilo bags of raw sugar if we have enough bag weight left.
